2023 MT Horse Progress Days Sale Report

Tremendous crowd of over 1000 bidders, buyers and spectators for the 11th Annual Montana Horse Progress Days Auction, held at the Miller Farm near Lewistown, MT. 10 teams averaged nearly $9000/head, with the top team fetching $37,000 for a pair of Belgian mares with foals at side. Riding horses topped at $26,000, with all single horses and ponies averaging just over $8,300. Heavy teams and gentle ranch-type horses found the most amount of interest on sale day. Wagon and equipment were perhaps a touch softer than what we’ve seen over the past few years, but there is still strong demand on the right pieces. Folks attended from 24 states and provinces.
